Callander, Bracklinn Falls and the Crags 18 August 2011

Thursday we set out for the town of Callander. The town has always been a popular stop as it marks the end of the plains and the start of mountains. Ben Ledi is the prominent mountain overlooking the town from the north. Callander sits near the River Teith with Bracklinn Falls in the south-east.  We took the Callander Crags woodland walk, which featured fantastic views from the jubilee cairn of Ben Ledi and Loch Achray. Enjoy the photos.

  1. If you ever write a book, that "Andrew in the Woods" photo can be your author picture.

  2. Great blog.

That picture of you next to the cairn is messing with my head.

Are you quite short or is that cairn very tall?

I'm guessing it is the former from the other pictures as you seem to be dwarfed by the sign too but it is hard to get the scale.
